New Leadership for Mu Omicron Chapter:
Brandon McMahan Named Board Chair
The Mu Omicron chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon is pleased to announce a significant leadership transition as Brandon McMahan has been elected as the new chair of the board of advisors. This appointment marks an exciting new chapter in the ongoing story of our fraternity’s commitment to excellence and brotherhood.
Welcoming Our New Chair
Brandon brings fresh perspective and energy to the leadership role as he steps into the position of board chair. A past chapter Prytanis and board member for the past three years, Brandon has demonstrated his commitment to the Mu Omicron chapter through both undergraduate leadership and continued alumni involvement. His election represents the confidence that the board and chapter alumni have in his vision and ability to guide the Mu Omicron chapter forward in the coming years.
Honoring Years of Dedicated Service
As we welcome our new chair, we also take this opportunity to recognize the exceptional service of outgoing board chair James Petty. Since being elected to the board chair position in 2018, James has provided steady, thoughtful leadership during a transformative period for our chapter.
James’s commitment to the Mu Omicron chapter extends well beyond his recent role as chair. He has been an active board member since 2012, bringing over a decade of dedicated volunteer service to our brotherhood. Throughout his tenure, he has worn many hats, previously serving as Alumni Association president and board treasurer. His diverse experience in leadership roles has provided invaluable institutional knowledge and continuity for our chapter.
Looking Ahead
This leadership transition represents both continuity and renewal for the Mu Omicron chapter. While we’re grateful for James’ years of service and the strong foundation he has helped build, we’re equally excited about the fresh perspectives and ideas that Brandon McMahan will bring to the role.
The board of advisors plays a crucial role in supporting our undergraduate brothers, maintaining chapter traditions, and ensuring the long-term success of Mu Omicron. Under this new leadership, we look forward to continued growth, strengthened alumni engagement, and the advancement of the values that make Tau Kappa Epsilon a brotherhood for life.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to James Petty for his years of service and our congratulations to Brandon as he begins this important new role. Together, they represent the spirit of service and brotherhood that defines our chapter.
